Functional Assessment

Functional assessment is a continuous co-operative process that combines observing, asking meaningful questions, listening to family stories, and analyzing individual child skills and behaviors within naturally occurring everyday routines and activities across multiple situations and settings. If you meet one Person with Autism you meet that one Person with Autism only. Their functioning skills are uneven. So that Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) is prepared on the basis of Functional Assessment. Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) is used for the intervention program of Person with Autism.

 

Early Intervention Program

Early intervention is a term that means starting therapeutic interventions as soon as possible. Early Intervention Program based on either one-to-one work or group work with Person with Autism, on a regular basis followed by two or three times a week. This program is child-centric, play based and family focused. These Early Intervention Program include Special Needs Education, Behaviour Therapy, Communication therapies, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Integration Therapy, Music Therapy. Special Needs Education Session

Special Needs Education refers to range of services to help Person with Disabilities learn and make progress in Home environment, School and Community. Special education serves children with emotional, behavioral, or cognitive impairments or with intellectual, hearing, vision, speech.

Each individual with autism is provided session on the basis of Functional Assessment and Individual Educational Plan. Parents are encouraged to observe the session so that they can apply the skills that being used by educator. Assignments are also provided to the parents on the basis of Individual Educational Plan of Individual with Autism.
